Rudy P. Melson achieved the Director of the Year Award from Garden Valley Chamber of Commerce

LOS ANGELES, CA, October 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rudy P. Melson, PMP, CCNA, SSGB, MBA, MM, Senior Program Manager at AT&T, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in project management.

With 28 years of professional experience, Mr. Melson serves as a senior program manager of AT&T, Inc. With expertise in program and project management, he oversees development, organization, implementation and management of complex information technology projects, manages large programs from the setup of the project management office, hires and trains project managers, consults on implementation with clients and educates customers on new network infrastructure equipment. Prior to joining the telecommunications company, he was a member of the United States Naval Reserves from 1971 through 1976.

Mr. Melson received his Master's Degree in Management from the University of Dallas (1999) and his Master of Business Administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills (1989). Designated as a project management professional and Cisco certified network associate, he has attained a lean six sigma green belt certification, college teaching credential with the State of California and a license as a low voltage systems contractor with the State of California. He is a member of the Project Management Institute, Inc. and serves as an educator and trainer for Black Pilots of America. In his spare time, he serves as an usher at his local church and as a captain for the Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue Missions. He attributes his success to his faith in God and desire to help others. In the future, he intends to work as a Cisco network consultant and continue teaching networking as an adjunct professor at DeVry University.
