Octavio Lima Distinguished for Accomplishments in Telecommunications and Engineering
Octavio Lima is working on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2)

THE COLONY, TX, March 30, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Octavio Lima, Engineer for Ericsson, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in telecommunications and engineering.

Specialized in product development, Octavio Lima has maintained involvement in the broad field of telecommunications for the past 15 years. He now celebrates his 12th year with Ericsson, a world-renowned telecommunications firm, where he excels in radio technology and works with systems development and operations that employ 3GPP2 technologies. Mr. Lima plays an active role in the development of IMT-2000 and is currently in the process of working on the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2), which was born of the merger between the International Telecommunications Union and International Mobile Telecommunications. This project was formulated with the intention to bring high-quality mobile multimedia telecommunications to a worldwide mass market by increasing the speed and ease of wireless communications.

Mr. Lima completed all of the course work towards a master's degree in radio technology (ABD) at the Aeronautical Institute of Technology in Brazil. He holds a bachelor's degree in electronics from the State University of Campinas in Brazil, earned in 1992. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. As he looks to the future, Mr. Lima intends to continue his work with Ericsson and return to his early vocational roots in product development.
