Tony Geheran Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Telecommunications
At TELUS, Tony Geheran Delivers High Speed Connection and Mobile Communication

VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA, February 2, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tony Geheran, Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions Delivery for TELUS Communications Company, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in telecommunications.

As a senior vice president of customer solutions delivery for TELUS, a leading Canadian telecommunications company, Mr. Geheran utilizes his considerable expertise to oversee all field operations for government, commercial and residential clients and provide them with telephone, television and high-speed Internet services. He has worked for 22 years in his field and is an expert in engineering and marketing, as well as operational process and execution. He has been with TELUS for the last 10 years.

Over the past three years TELUS has launched innovative business and residential services leveraging its extensive investments in IP networks and access infrastructure. Optik TV is the fastest growing IPTV solution in Canada and Mr. Geheran's team has re engineered itself to support the continued year over year growth necessary to meet customer demand for this exciting new service offering.

Mr. Geheran's team within TELUS was recognized recently when it won an award for its accomplishments in workforce management; the official announcement on December 5, 2011 confirmed TELUS as winners of an Optimus Award for delivering competitive advantage, from Workforce.com magazine. Mr. Geheran attributes his success to his willingness to continue to learn as well as his ability to motivate teams to deliver the expected results.

Mr. Geheran became involved in his profession after his service in the British Royal Navy, during which he became interested in the career possibilities available in communications. Prior to TELUS, Mr. Geheran worked with Mercury Communications Ltd, NYNEX Cable Communications Inc. and Cable & Wireless PLC in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

In 1996, Mr. Geheran earned a graduate diploma in marketing from the Cranfield University School of Management in the United Kingdom. He also holds a professional certificate in mechanical and electrical engineering from HMS Collingwood Weapon Engineering School. In the next several years, Mr. Geheran hopes to move to the executive vice president level within TELUS, or to a similar role.
